Echo was confined to repeating the words of others for her constant chatter. She loved Narcisus, the son of the river god and a nymph. He refused her. When he passing by a stream, he was deeply fascinated by this reflection in the stream. He thought it to be the form of a nymph. Eventually, he became the flower with the name of Narcissus.
